Representatives of the Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency exchange experiences with Icelandic experts

Knowledge exchange on geothermal energy with Iceland

Representatives of the Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency travelled to Iceland last week as part of the project "Creation of an interactive map of the geothermal potential of the Pannonian Basin of the Republic of Croatia", which is funded by the EEA Financial Mechanism as part of the implementation of the Energy and Climate Change Programme.

The visit to Iceland is an example of successful cooperation and knowledge sharing between different regions and countries and underlines the importance of global efforts to achieve sustainable energy and reduce the impact of climate change.

Iceland is known for its successful use of geothermal resources in the fields of energy and heating. Therefore, this trip is of great importance for the Republic of Croatia, which is only at the beginning of the development and application of geothermal energy from heating, energy to agriculture.

Within the framework of the project, a return visit of the Icelandic delegation together with potential investors to our country is expected in order to continue the dialogue and exchange further experiences, but also to establish cooperation with some of the potential future investors.
