Established in 2014 as an operational body of the Government of the Republic of Croatia with the aim of initiating and activating new hydrocarbon exploration and production activities in the Republic of Croatia. Its main task was conducting tenders and monitoring the fulfilment of contractual obligations of licenced investors regarding hydrocarbon exploration and production activities in the Republic of Croatia.
The undeniable decline in hydrocarbon reserves and the green transition context created our vision of starting a real transition to new forms of energy. Since 2018, drawing on our extensive knowledge and using data from the oil industry, we have laid the foundations for the development of a new green energy market. We participate in innovative projects and open up space for investments by changing legislation. We focus on renewable energy sources and new technologies recognised by the EU (geothermal energy, hydrogen, offshore wind, permanent gas storage in geological structures – CCS).
